★ A Breath of Life

What better way to end the break- walk doown and around the huge Bruin walk, slip into a nice hot bath, come out with wet hair and a fresh feel, sit down and fill out the UCLA housing application :3

Yup, it’s decided, it’s UCLA for me.

The following is pretty much just rememberances for me, you don’t have to bother reading if you don’t want… I have a short synopsis at the bottom for the convenience of those who are slightly interested :3

So basically, I really wanted to go to USC… that’s about all I knew, then the letters came…
First I got this little envelope from UCLA… what??? Rejected already??… BUT the fishy thing was that it was from the college of engineering, NOT the admissions…So… babing! Congrats, the engineering people like you a lot, here’s an invitation to our open house. Sweet XD
Then, this medium sized envelope comes from UCI. Not big enough for an acceptance, not small enough for a rejection.. hmmm?… So… babing! We like you a lot, here’s a  scholarship that covers all in-state costs, almost $9,000, and by the way, you’re acceptance is coming later. Sweet XD
Then, I’m over chilling at Emme’s, cuz it’s a cool place to chil… (actually we were doing German stuff on the side :P) when my mom calls…”are you coming home yet… there’s something exciting in the mail”… okaaaay… time to go home :3.
Meanwhile at school… most people have gotten Irvine, Riverside, UCLA engineers…and.. the first wave of USC D: I didn’t get it yet…until…
YAYa! My first big letter!!! AND… It’s from USC, my dream school!!! Welcome to the Trojan family! TuT I’m overfilled with joy!
Then, while others panic as UCLA, Berkley, and SD date is coming… I get to chill.. I really don’t want to go to SD anyway, so I’ll just wait for the letter in the mail. Indeed, the big envelope comes.
Course, I never thought I’d get Stanford so I started making my decisions before my rejection letter came :3

Then for the deciding.
Of course I love USC.. BUT they didn’t give me a scholarship.. there’s no way we can pay for that tuition…
UCLA… huge place, I’m still sulking over my loss, but I apply for the Alumni Scholarship just in case, any chance at money is a good chance…
UCI… full scholarship.. ehhh.. looking preeettyyy good :3
… SD… neh… never liked it…

So.. business goes bad, USC is out of the picture, though my parents said they’d go and beg for financial aid and sell some realestate and… whole bunch a other stuff if I really wanted to go… no… it’s ok, I don’t NEED to go there ToT
So… that Irvine looks pretty tasty, I’m almost certain… besides everywhere my dad went, he went on a full scholarship.. why not me too? until…
WHAM!!!
Rachel: Congrats Audrey!
Me: huh?
R: wait.. what’s your e-mail address?

R: oh.. nevermind…
M:?
R: well the Alumni Scholarship people e-mailed me and told me I got a space for an interview, 15 out of 60 applicants and I saw that they sent an email to someone at audlee with some numbers and I thought it was you.
M: (big eyed) OH! That is me!!!! XD my college more professional sounding e-mail I use for super important people!OMG!!! I didn’t know that they were deciding already!!!
So.. It’s a really good thing Rachel told me cuz I hadn’t checked that e-mail for a while and the interviews were that weekend.
After what I thought was a really sucky interview… I pretty much thought I’d end up at Irvine until…
WHAZAM!!! Congrats, you got the Alumni Scholarship O__o WooOOt!! I thought it was funny that of the .. 5 people that got the scholarship.. I think it was.. at least 3 of us were from Walnut XD I guess we are really cool.

So now I have at least $1,000 to UCLA plus maybe more so they say plus free use of their photocopy machine!! The photocopies are the best part :3

Ok, that’s gotta be a sign… well then perhaps it’s UCLA.

So we visited the campuses
EWWW.. Irvine is not my style.. sorry x3
UCLA.. well it’s not USC.. but it’s nice, I think I can live here happily :3
So now I’m off to filling out my housing app.
