“Treasure is uncovered by the force of flowing water, and it is buried by the same currents”, said the old man,”if you want to learn about your own treasure, you will have to give me one-tenth of your flock”
Hahaha, preparing for my oral commentary tomorrow by analyzing this quote, jk. This is from Paulo Coelho’s The Alchemist, a book you may see me reading for the next couple of weeks - yes it’s a fun reading.
I came across this quote and thought, how true it is. Our goals and wants in life are found only through hard work and the trials that come in our way. They help us to uncover who we are and what we want to be, but at the same time we can be deterred by them. It’s as if they take our goals away from us, like it’s impossible to find what we really want, but we can’t let those hardships stop us. Anyway, that’s what I got out of that, except a little more deeper and complicated.
u wrote about the tennis day!! awwwwwwwww. i haven’t checked this in a while. haha
