A Walk to the Village
Published by aud August 7th, 2006 in A day in the lifeToday Amy and I walked to the village together
I was in need of some oil pastels for art class so we decided to walk to Michaels and have a little adventure. The two of us walked all the way down to the village, laughing and telling stories as we walked. I learned something new today, the cross walk by the senior citizen’s housing is really cool. Not only does the red hand change to a person, there are speakers above the lights that sound when it’s time to walk!
Our first stop was Robeks. I’ve never bought a smoothie from there so it sounded fun :3. We got the humming bird (?) somehting like that, with Guava and mango, and other stuff. I never knew that smoothies were SO filling, one medium size was enough for Amy and me - we decided we didn’t need to buy lunch.
After a quick stop at Staples for no apparent reason, we walked our way over to Michaels. Of course Michaels was just as cool as ever, but it was even cooler today because Robert was working at the register AGAIN! He’s one of the workers that Christine and I asked for help when looking for some art class supplies. Every time we go there for art class purposes he’s always there and helps us either at the register or out and about the store!! Weird… The cool thing is that he always remembers us :3 He was like “Hey it’s YOU! How’s the art class?” haha, he’s cool.
Then came the ultra long walk back home in the burning sun D: Once we got home, we were all sweaty and our feet ached so much we sat on the couch watching Disney Princesses and eating salmon soup for like an hour… the Disney Princesses can actually be somewhat entertaining.. but some of the story lines are sooo…. T___T;;; cheezy/whaaa??
gahh! nooo. i bought you oil pastels. but oh well.
you got your first smoothie without ME? SIGHH.yes. robeks is good. i miss smoothies. haha.
ooo. i know robert. i thought he was hitting on me one time, but turns out that he’s just friendly. haha.

You are the best sister in the world! - katy
wow! Did you walk there from your house? (I think I already know the answer to this question, but it just seems that likes so far. o_O I know my mom would never let me walk that far by myself -_-)
Anyway, that is such a cute story. =) Que buena hermana eres! (agh my spanish sucks, but it’s supposed to say “What a good sister you are!”) ^^
