(noun) [hoi’ pah-LOI] 1. the common people; the masses: “We may have less down time, but today, the hoi polloi have access to services and technology that kings of the past did not even dream of.”
Hahahaha.. this is like one of the coolest words I’ve ever heard that’s not from my dictionary XD. Too bad I don’t have much use for it since I don’t normally address the masses or common people…
when you said common people the first two words that came into my mind was the colloquial venacular and then i read it again and i remembered that people are not languages -_-. lol, colloquial venacular is soo cool two words that fit together but mean exactly the same thing X_X wwwwwwwooowwwww english is sooo confusing, i gotta get me a brain the size of at least a errr…… history book to make me understand english. (wait… are history books big???)
